I’ve also got ambitious sewing plans that I’ll hopefully be able to show off at least a WIP on Monday.

In the meantime, hopefully this little guy will cheer you up as much as it did me.

And this is what we’re drinking all weekend! I’m putting the recipe below.

Raspberry Champagne:

2 Tsp Raspberry Puree + glass of champagne= cheerful times!

Truly this drink is like instant happy. Just be careful, because you may end up drinking your dinner like I did last weekend! oops….

To make the Raspberry Puree (which you can use on top of ice cream, over pound cake, as a topping for chocolate cake, etc):

Combine 1 bag of frozen raspberries with 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 mins or so until its a bit thicker. Once thickened remove from heat and pour into a fine strainer over a bowl. Stir the heck out of the mixture in the strainer letting the good stuff drip into the bowl below. Be sure to scrape off the bottom of the strainer as there will be a lot of raspberry puree hiding there. Keep beating/stirring until all that’s left are seeds. This takes about 10 mins- and is a good arm work out.  Then you’re done and can enjoy! The puree lasts for about a week+ in the fridge.

Once you try this you’ll want to keep a bag of raspberries in your freezer at all times. Don’t say I didnt warn you!

A few years ago about this time of year I was single and wanted to meet the right person. In an effort to hone what I was looking for I made a list. I kept the list on my fridge and looked at it every day. Not long after Rob and I started dating he looked at the list and said, did you make this after meeting me? Without realizing it my list was the personification of Rob and all his wonderful qualities.

I thought today I’d share my list with you. Maybe it will inspire you to make your own.

I’ve got a busy week this week- work is active, I need to get fabric for my sewing class on Thursday, I’m taking two more Alt classes, I have two doctors appointments, AND we are going to see Richard 3 at BAM on Friday- Whew! I’m a little pooped just thinking about it.

Before we get to that though, here’s a quick recap of what we did all weekend. We hung up some of our art around the apartment, sent out some long over due pressies to girlfriends, ate a delish dinner prepared by Rob, and got a lovely pressy myself from my brother. Aren’t those bowls just Beeeeeautiful?!

In the meantime I send you off this weekend with two of my favorite stars and their doxies- I love Liz even more knowing that she had a wire. And a doxie seems so fitting for Joan- their personalities so similar. In addition, I got this amazing Daniel Boulud cocktail book for Rob for Christmas, and I think this cocktail, called the Rose Royale is the perfect apertif to get us in the mood for Valentine’s Day next week.

Rob and I recently bought a bunch or rugs at auction, and splurged on a runner from ABC Carpet & Home- they totally add character and spice to our living room and hall.
